branquignoleSchool has begun again, and that means that the times of adventure are gone. Good times, those. We had one last adventure on Saturday, when we went to the medieval fair that is held not far from here every August. Okay, our visit there consisted mainly in buying and eating food, especially the obligatory tarte flambée we eat there every year. We also had some date tea (very sweet and so very yummy), and bought lots of date, fig and raisin pastries. I'm sure you can't count the calories you consume by eating one of those pastries, but they're so worth it. And I ate baklava! IT WAS SO DELICIOUS.
Anyway, now that the second day of school is past (we're slowly trying to get back to normal. Lessons? D'you mean that time when you sit around doing nothing? Yes, let's do that!), I've decided to dramatically look back on the holidays, on three weeks in Normandy and one in North Rhine-Westphalia which seemed much longer than those three in France. I believe that I read six books in six weeks, as well as another six books from the Bible. I posted 28 entries during the holidays, and wrote three poems. I went to see five musicals, planned tons of other musicals for the next year, listened to dozens of great songs, and now I have loads and loads of cherished memories. I was in two countries and in about eight cities apart from my own home town. And I spent about 200 €, most of which was for the hostel we slept at in Tecklenburg. The only thing I didn't do was buy books. But as soon as I have money, I'll be sure that's the first thing I do. :)

In other news, I went to the oculist's yesterday, and they gave me some eye drops to widen my pupils so they could look at the retina, and they're still huge. Here's hoping I can go to school tomorrow without my sunglasses on (especially as it's rainy and grey outside and I only go out with a raincoat on). But I'm finally getting new glasses! WHOOP!
